POSITION SUMMARY:
The DEI Intern will assist the DEI Data & Analytics team in the launch, coordination, and analysis of the IPG annual BELONG (Building Equity, Leveraging Opportunity, and Nurturing Growth) Pulse Survey. The Intern will also assist in supporting two additional network-level pilot surveys and process documentation as we migrate to a new survey system.
The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the People Analytics and Survey space under leadership with a long tenure of experience. They should come out of the experience with a greater understanding of people analytics, survey project management and some best practices for integrating survey data with people analytics using key statistical models.
They also will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with a global team of professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should have a growth mindset, be passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with the launch of the IPG company-wide BELONG Pulse Survey.
- Partner with our survey vendor in documenting the process for survey management in a new tool.
- Partner with the Director, DEI Data & Insights Strategy in analyzing the survey results including cutting results by key demographics, year over year comparisons and using correlation & regression analysis to tie results to key people analytics.
- Collaborate with several teams within the organization to support the pilot test of two new surveys.
- Provide support with survey communications as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other materials.
- Actively use project management software to track updates to survey project plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently enrolled in a senior year graduate degree program in a relevant field such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Organizational Development, Analytics, Human Resources, IO Psychology OR equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the job.
- Strong interest and passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and surveys or analytics.
- Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Strong knowledge of the MS Office Suite (word, excel and PPT).
- Strong knowledge of Project Management and Data Analytics is an asset.
SALARY RANGE or NYC SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this position is $16 to $18. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
