SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY
Team Leaders are empowered and expected to provide the service, tools, technical knowledge and training needed to engage and empower our team culture.  Each Team Leader should strive for a safe work environment, high product quality, high productivity and emphasis on continuous improvement.  Team Leaders are expected to inspire and lead their teams by setting the example.
 

  • Monitoring and coordinating job rotations
  • Leading and facilitating team meetings and problem solving sessions
  • Recording basic quality and production data
  • Performing the work of assemblers, inspectors, repair or material handlers within their assigned team, as needed
  • Complies with Quality, Material Management System requirements
  • Recognizing and controlling QS9000 & TS significant environmental aspects
  • Ensures that team members are aware of each operations quality requirements, including deviations and quality alerts. 
  • Proactively participates in root cause analysis of quality problems within the team and with other department team members.
  • Ensures that team members are following standardized work processes and that each work cell has the proper parts, tools, supplies and manpower. 
  • Ensures that team members are achieving daily shift production goals; and actively participates in resolving issues that prevent the team from achieving the required goal.
  • Addresses team members’ questions, issues, and concerns promptly; and follows through to resolution.
  • Will assist with both training team members and maintains up-to-date training matrices for all team members.
  • Provides work assignments and directs the work of the team.
  • Authorities as detailed in our Quality System for ISO/TS16949 including but not limited to Corrective and Preventative Actions, Control of Documents, Control of Records, Internal Audits and Control of Nonconforming Product.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

    Must have 3 years of work experience in the manufacturing industry, preferable automotive.

    Must have a minimum of two years of work experience in leadership

    Must be a self-starter who excels at working independently within a diverse team environment.
    Must have demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment.
    Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    Must ensure all safety, company policies and guidelines are adhered to.

Health & Safety
•    Ensures that team members are adhering to safety policies and practices; and thoroughly and timely resolves safety issues.
•    Assist in monthly workplace inspections.
•    Perform weekly inspections of the work area and document the existence of any hazards.
•    Advise employees of the existence of any potential or actual hazards to their health & safety in the workplace of which you are aware.
•    Commend safe behaviors and positive health & safety performance exhibited by employees.
•    Assist in the training of new employees on safe work practices and identification of hazards in the work area(s) under your responsibility.
•    Adhere to and follow all company health & safety policies, practices and rules for the workplace.
•    Use, provide, and enforce compliance of company issued PPE.
•    Communicate and follow all emergency procedures to department staff.
•    Must participate in all company related safety programs.
