About the Role

The People and Culture team is seeking a creative, resourceful, and organized People & Culture ("P&C") Manager to join us in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a Hybrid role requiring at least 3 days a week at the site and may require additional travel to other Stitch Fix locations. This pivotal role is essential in supporting the growth of Stitch Fix by providing strategic P&C partnership to foster a thriving culture, engaged teams, and a more productive and profitable business. As a key contributor to the organization’s health and success, you will collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to identify, develop, and implement strategies tailored to business needs. This includes understanding functional goals and ensuring the right talent, structure, culture, and processes are in place to drive and sustain impact. You will also work closely with Recruiting, Growth and Development, Total Rewards, and Operations leaders within the People and Culture team to develop these strategies.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Be the direct manager of an onsite Business Partner team. 
  • Serve as the strategic thought partner for the network Operations Management team as well as the facility based Operations Management team to enhance employee engagement and operational performance. 
  • Provide coaching and guidance to people leaders, aligning with Stitch Fix’s vision and values to effectively apply our people practices, especially around performance feedback, employee relations, and development discussions.
  • Manage and analyze data from various tools and systems (Workday, OneModel, Workforce Software, ADP,  Google Suite, etc.) to inform business decisions.
  • Conduct escalated investigations of employee relations issues, ensuring alignment with Stitch Fix’s standards, values, and leadership principles.
  • Design and implement innovative employee development and engagement initiatives to support the business.
  • Be an owner of P&C programs like Stitch Fix Life, Talent Review, Succession Planning, and Pay Review. 
  • Act as a change leader for site changes that have an employee impact. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to craft new policies and strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Engage directly with employee groups, rolling out programs that support the People and Culture team, including compensation, performance, and talent programs.

We’re excited about you because you…

  • Have 5+ years of overall HR experience, including at least 3+ years leading teams and developing people strategies, known as an experienced people manager and trusted partner to senior leadership on people-related strategies. A degree or certification is a plus, but not required. 
  • Have 5+ years of experience in Labor Relations with expertise in conducting complex investigations. 
  • 5+ Years Experience leading and/or supporting hourly populations, including both part time and full time employees. 
  • Proven ability to work independently, anticipating the needs of the business and driving your team and partners toward those objectives.
  • Understand how to process, apply feedback and proactively drive your own growth
  • Have strong data analysis skills, with the ability to aggregate and utilize data to support and inform business decisions. 
  • Expertise in developing, driving, and executing initiatives in employee engagement, retention, employee relations, and performance management, strong knowledge of HR policies and laws, including FMLA, leave of absence, and other HR related regulations. 
  • Ability to anticipate and advocate for the needs of client groups, aligning with overall business objectives. 
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders to use data in addressing systemic concerns. 
  • Strong track record in leading transformational change, prioritizing critical work amidst competing priorities, and influencing and catalyzing change management. 
  • Experienced in guiding leaders through critical employee lifecycle milestones, including promotions, performance reviews, terminations, and succession planning.
