The Construction Project Manager position supports Director of Property Management to oversee the planning and execution of corporate real estate projects and related building operations. Their primary duties include leading and overseeing construction projects, working with Engineers/ Architects/Contractors to develop designs consistent with construction standards, managing project schedules, developing and controlling project budgets, identifying cost cutting measures and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain design/construction standards for MPS global Real Estate inventory.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, electricians and other specialists.
- Evaluate project drawings, schedules, submittals, and RFI’s to help identify & resolve potential project risks.
- Correspond with local authorities having jurisdiction to expedite any project permits or inspections.
- Perform reviews of contractor/vendor proposals and associated bid leveling exercises.
- Facilitate the creation of purchase orders, reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy, and submitting invoices for processing.
- Review project change orders for budget, schedule and quality impacts.
- Supervise the progress of active projects and help coordinate the efforts of all team members to keep workflow on track.
- Communicate with project partners to ensure the identified project objectives are aligned amongst all individuals to promote clarity of objectives.
- Ensure all budgets and schedules are updated and summarized for executive status reports.
- Documentation of internal processes related to managing real estate assets and activities.
- Manage Contractor/Consultant/Vendor relationships.
- Lead project design/construction meetings.
- Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors.
- Support the executive team as necessary.
- Assist with “special” MPS projects.

Qualifications:
- Have a 4-year bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, business administration or similar educational background.
- Proven work experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
- 5-years construction experience
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
- An ability to interpret project schedules, budgets and step-by-step action plans.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $100,000 - $150,000.
