The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sourcing strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives. This role will foster a culture of collaboration and agility, ensuring close alignment with various functions and providing clarity on the sourcing process, roles, and responsibilities. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of sourcing strategy and HVAC distribution who can balance enterprise directives with local business needs. The ideal candidate will leverage resources from the parent company to develop impactful sourcing initiatives, drive business growth, support increased market share, and bolster sales performance across all distributorships.

This position can be based in any of the regions in which Rheem operates its distribution network and will both lead the sourcing efforts of Rheem Air Distribution as well as spearhead cross-business unit opportunities for shared categories and suppliers between RAD and our Rheem Parts Division. Our ideal candidate is located in Randleman, NC. We may be open to other locations including a headquarters for Distribution - Houston,TX, Kimberly, WI, Islandia, NY, Burlington, NJ, or Dayton, OH.
- Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategy: Create, manage, and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy that aligns with the organization’s objectives.
- Business Strategy Alignment: Ensure alignment of business strategies across markets and business units to drive efficiency and scale.
- Efficiency and Impact: Increase efficiency by driving scale where it makes sense, decreasing fragmentation, and prioritizing higher impact areas.
- Technology and Data Utilization: Leverage technology and data to drive performance that unlocks growth.
- Collaboration and Agility: Foster and build a culture of collaboration and agility to enable an efficient and effective sourcing process.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Establish influence within the organization, evaluate existing practices, and challenge the status quo when necessary. Foster strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders and business partners.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and compliance with legal and organizational requirements, including defining services, deliverables, acceptance criteria, service level agreements (SLA), and key performance indicators (KPI).
- Market and Spend Analysis: Conduct in-depth market and spend data analysis to inform sourcing decisions.
- Supplier Performance Management: Develop and utilize supplier scorecards and savings tracking. Facilitate effective supplier performance management by providing feedback and proactively addressing performance issues.
- Support Network: Define and utilize a robust support network to ensure close alignment in strategy with functions.

- Bachelors Degree in related field
- 10+ years of professional sourcing experience, with a focus on distribution sourcing in the HVAC industry, aftermarket, parts & supplies or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aftermarket parts experience highly preferred. HVAC industry experience highly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in sourcing strategy development, ideally within a distribution or manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills to structure and solve complex business challenges, developing data-driven strategies, and analyze in-depth market and spend data
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management or supply chain management in an industry related field
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience in drafting and reviewing contracts.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Proficiency in leveraging technology and data to drive sourcing performance.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills to foster a culture of agility and efficiency.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in messaging
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment, demonstrating dedication to teamwork, a strong work ethic, and adaptability to new challenges and ideas
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
