Provides individualized diabetes self-management education/training to individuals and groups according to the Competencies and Practice levels for Diabetes Educators.

Required Qualifications:
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
- Upon hire: Washington Dietitian Certification or
- Upon hire: Washington Nutritionist Certification.
- Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Upon hire: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), or preparing for the NCBDE qualifying examination.
- 6 months experience providing diabetes education and/or 15 contact hours within past year in diabetes and diabetes clinical and educational subjects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Upon hire: Credentialed as a diabetes education specialist or diabetes clinical management specialist.
- Upon hire: CDE certified.
- 3 years' experience as a healthcare professional.
