What you will do: 

  • Conduct turnover meetings with off going shift Supervisor
  • Conduct beginning of shift toolbox meetings/safety discussions
  • Validate timesheets for time coding accuracy and overtime reason coding accuracy
  • Verify completion of critical items and ODR lists
  • Schedule and verify operator attendance for external training-OSHA, site specific environmental training, hearing tests, etc.
  • Identify competent SOP trainers
  • Write work requested/emergency work orders as needed
  • Sign off on job certifications for demonstrated skills
  • Perform KPA’s
  • Sign off on critical bypass sheets
  • Perform lockouts as needed
  • Check and read e-mails
  • Active supervision by making periodic rounds to control rooms and field to review work, SOP validation, monitor progress of work
  • Monitor plants with walk through
  • Ensure attainment of shift work schedule
  • Inspect plant for housekeeping issues for end of shift sign-off
  • Complete shift write-up
  • Participate in housekeeping inspections as scheduled
  • Ensure shift crew fall protection equipment properly inspected
  • Attend monthly management safety meetings
  • Conduct monthly crew safety meetings
  • Monthly reports as required
  • Maintain attendance and disciplinary records for crew members
  • Conduct disciplinary actions as required
  • Maintain personal safety action plan
  • Attend day-shift weekly maintenance planning meeting
  • Conduct SOP reviews and crew SOP re-certification
  • Monitor employee callouts and crew unplanned or unbudgeted hours
  • Review environmental and production end of shift statistics
  • Monitor for MOC compliance on shift
  • Conduct tank and containment environmental inspections
  • Conduct PPE inspections periodically
  • Conduct equipment inspections and inventories periodically
  • Perform end of month raw material usage tasks
  • Maintain raw material inventories
  • Order supplies
  • Contribute to SOCL development
  • Conduct new employee orientation
  • Write and approve requisitions
  • Perform performance reviews
  • Perform site specific training for contractors
  • Perform compliance training as appropriate
  • Support Chemical Services during the off shift
  • Monitor LIMS samples and product quality
  • Coordinate shift maintenance activities
  • Stand as a role model for safety by inspecting and operating vehicles in a safe manner
  • Ensure that PPE is properly worn at all times
  • Ability to work unscheduled hours to cover the needs of the company.
