Bose Professional is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to help us define, design, and support our line of power amplifier and other installed audio electronics.  The Senior Electrical Engineer will work closely across the engineering community, product line management, and global design partners in New Product Development activities.  The experienced engineer will help in all phases of New Product Development including creating technical proposals, aiding in product definition, product architecture, designing Professional audio products, prototype evaluation and testing, and helping with sustaining engineering activities.  The ideal candidate will be experienced and technically skilled with Pro Audio product development and around electronic technologies such as power electronics, low-level analog and digital electronics, EMC design, and quality issue analysis.  Skills and ExperienceOur ideal candidate will have 7+ years in the following areas:
  • Design, simulation, and performance evaluation for Switching Power Supplies and Class-D Audio Amplifiers. 
  • Design and simulation experience for audio digital signal processors, discrete component designs, Professional audio analog and digital interface circuits, and audio conversion and codecs.
  • Design experience in schematic capture and layout (Altium preferred).
  • Electromagnetic analysis, design, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong Familiarity with product development processes, specifications, and test plans.
  • Carry out detailed Design Verification activities and documentation.
  • Strong design review practices of all design artifacts including schematics, layout, component derating, and BOM.
  • Failure analysis for high power electronics and 8D.
  • Sustaining Engineering activities include component EOL evaluation.
  • Demonstrated use of electronics lab equipment in conducting the above activities.
EducationB.S. degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required (M.S. preferred).Travel

LocationOccasional travel, domestic and international (less than 10%) is expected.

This hybrid role will be based in our Bose Professional headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts, currently set at 3-days a week on-site.
