The Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) organization, part of our Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS) SSBU within our Advanced Products and Solutions (APS) SBU is seeking a Senior Program Manager within the Emerging Programs Directorate. This role calls for a leader eager to operate within a fast-moving, evolving portfolio that encompasses all program phases from development through production and sustainment. You will be leading a sustainment program where you will be responsible to direct interaction with the customer and other external entities, proposal preparation and negotiations, and internal cross-functional leadership. In addition, you will provide support to other development and production programs. You will lead through strong cross-functional engagement, partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, Mission Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance, and Contracts to execute programs with rigor. Managing financial performance, including cost, schedule, and margin is essential, along with organic growth through the assigned programs.
This role is onsite in Goleta, CA.
What You Will Do
- Understand and represent customer needs to leadership while building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and key suppliers
- Accountability for profit and loss, EAC inputs, and program execution including risk and opportunity, cost, quality, and schedule performance
- Set program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, support internal and external reviews with leadership and the customer(s)
- Provide leadership and direction to a cross functional team across multiple Raytheon sites
- Identifies and reacts to problems and supports solutions, such as allocation of resources and operational execution
- Manage and grow the customer relationship and ensure customer satisfaction
- Lead proposal and negotiation activities with domestic customers, industry partners and suppliers
- Expected to support domestic travel as needed
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 17 years’ experience
- Program management or leadership experience
- Experience working sustainment program
- Experience with reporting metrics through EAC reviews and/or customer Program Management Reviews
- Experience managing proposals, negotiations, and/or BOE’s
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start
Qualifications We Prefer
- Program Management Level 5 Certification or ability to obtain within one year
- Proven success creating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes, and/or internal peers
- Working knowledge of USG and RTX contract formation, execution, and management
- Experience overseeing and monitoring supplier performance; develop preventive and corrective actions as necessary
- Experience developing briefings and presenting to senior leadership
