Job Function:
- Verifies count calculations and reconciles summary reports.
- May perform the duties of the Count Room Attendant/Lead Count Room Attendant.
- Assists Count Room Manager in developing and revising formal count policies and procedures and ensuring their implementation.
- Ensures compliance with Illinois Gaming Board regulations related to the count room.
- Assist count room attendant/lead count room attendant in completing daily count room tasks.
- Reconciles discrepancies related to monetary assets.
- Ensures compliance with all other regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and the Illinois Gaming Board regulations.
- Trains and supervises staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies and programs.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Rivers Casino – Des Plaines ICS.
Job Requirements:
- One (1) to two (2) years Count Team experience, preferably in a Lead or Supervisory capacity.
- Aptitude and ability to count large sums of currency.
- Must be able to perform computer input and operate a ten-key adding machine.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the established company, departmental policies & procedures.
- Must also possess sound judgment, good organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Must be able to clearly and appropriately communicate, both verbally and in writing to team members, vendors and guests.
- Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting.
- Frequent grasping, squeezing and handling of money and bundles.
