The Pressure Vessels division of the Industry & Facilities group, has revenues of approximately $22M. In addition to five geographic regions, for 2016, priorities include expansion of the Jurisdictional Inspection business creating the need for this management role. The Senior Equipment Breakdown (EB) Loss Control Specialist reports to the Director of Jurisdictional Services, working and coordinating with Territorial Managers and the Business Development Team.

The primary purpose of the position is to perform and assist in the management of the BVI&I EB Loss Control Reporting program. Additionally, this position will be needed for instruction writing, form adjustment and general training for BVI&I field personnel.

The Senior Equipment Breakdown (EB) Loss Control Specialist should have a credible technical background and knowledge of property and EB (Equipment Breakdown) and its industrial/insurance application. The successful candidate may well come from an insurance company or brokerage background with experience in risk and loss prevention associated with property, boilers and related machinery. Key Responsibilities • Work closely with the Director of Jurisdictional Services and BDM’s for the scheduling and inspection of Loss Control Inspections/Surveys

• Assist in the development of reporting and marketing materials to be used in the acquiring of new business.

• Participate in the strategic planning process. • Make significant contributions to the visibility of Bureau Veritas and help establish the Bureau Veritas Brand in our markets.

• Establish customer relations and good will to include customer feedback.

• Partner closely with other BV divisions to coordinate strategy and establish cross-sell opportunities. COMPETENCY

• Capacity for learning the BV and I&F organization, business model and culture along with the BV I&F product portfolio.

• Evidence of success developing and growing relationships with large client companies • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively establish new business relationships as well as foster current client relationships.

• Proven skills for teamwork and collaboration

• Outstanding organizational and analytical skills

• Available for travel as required.

• Familiarity with boiler and pressure vessel jurisdictional requirements and property, and machinery breakdown loss control services

• Microsoft Office skills • Ability to work independently. • Highly motivated and driven.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering discipline or 1-=15 years of equivalent experience in property, and boiler and machinery underwriting, loss control or broker engineering PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management or experience in a complementary professional role

• Technical training/knowledge in boiler and machinery underwriting, loss control engineering
