Senior Security Analyst - SOC Trainer

About the RoleThis role is responsible for the internal training and enablement of our Security Analyst. This role will interact with multiple parts of the Security Organization to reinforce standard processes and procedures performed by all Security Analysts. This role will provide technical and advisory support to Security Teams in an internal facing capacity.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the SOC’s Analyst Training Programs (Onboarding, Continuous, and Internal Transitions)
• Update internal documentation and runbooks to ensure repeatable analysis.
• Provide training curriculum for Security Analyst's continuous learning on emerging threats.
• Lead the partnership with internal/external organizations for Partnership/Apprenticeship/Internship Programs.
• Perform live training session on multiple Security topics focused on internal and vendor related technologies (SOAR/SIEM/EDR)
• Provide overall guidance, advisement, mentorship, and leadership to all members of the MS-Delivery teams.
• Work with Directors to provide edits to customer facing Service Documentation.
• Work with internal teams within the division to identify training opportunities for our SOC (Security Operations Center) Teams
• Work with Senior Leaderships teams on guidance of the SOC service quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Serve as a leadership point of contact for Analyst related escalation.
• Keep up to date with best practices and trends in security operations.
• Provide background for customers/vendors during local tours, meetings, and events

Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident leader in building a new department or changes within an established organization.
• 3 or more years of progressing/in-depth IT security experience. Practical experience in a senior role within the last three years and demonstrated ability to carry out the job's functions.
• System Administration experience (Windows, Unix/Linux, Mac)
• Advanced knowledge of at least one leading SIEM platform (Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic, IBM Qradar, Chronicle etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in using Endpoint Detection and Response software (SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, Defender, ETC.)
• Prior knowledge of SOAR platforms such as Siemplify, Fortisoar, D3 Security, XSOAR, etc.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in related security domains is preferred.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
