Lead UX Designer

We’re looking for a Lead UX Designer to thoughtfully contribute to our award-winning electronic health record and healthcare revenue cycle product, athenaOne.    

In this role, you will help lead the UX portion of our product development process for multi-disciplinary agile R&D teams consisting of product managers, developers, data analytics specialists, and service operations agents — not to mention our customers — to define, design and test workflows that empower medical providers, coders, and billers to effectively manage and perform core claim preparation, submission, and resolution tasks. We’re working to turn a complex and sometimes cumbersome set of processes into a more unified, intuitive, satisfying, and empowering experience for our users. This role is based in Boston, MA.  

As a successful candidate, you are a champion for users and embrace the challenge of solving the difficult problems that present the greatest opportunities to ease the burden on healthcare workers. You’ll develop a clear point of view about UX decisions and tradeoffs and collaborate with product and engineering leads to get them implemented. You will function well both independently – making well-informed design decisions on your own – and in collaboration with cross-functional partners in product, engineering, and other disciplines.  

You have an eye for design, and the ability to spot small details that others might miss. You love finding ways to drive incremental but significant improvements that keep us moving towards a greater long-term vision that you helped define.
