Position Summary

The Concessions Cashier will be stationed at our Grab-n-Go locations, greeting guests in a pleasant manner, answering questions while ensuring our register free technology remains operation and maintain a customer seamless flow.

 

The Concessions Cashier must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $13 - $15.

About the Venue

Oak View Group is the venue manager and food and beverage provider of SoFi Center, a first-of-its-kind venue located in Palm Beach Gardens on the campus of Palm Beach State College. SoFi Center will be the home of the TGL Golf League, founded by Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy,  TGL presented by SoFi is a new golf league, combining advanced technology with teams of top players from the PGA TOUR for two-hour weekly competitions in prime time starting in January 2025. The arena will seat about 1,500 people and featured matches between 6 teams for the inaugural season.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for greeting guests and helping customers with the cashless technology check out
• Helping customers find their concession items, at their location or directing to another stand.
• Responsible for keeping the work area and surroundings clean using sanitation standards.
• Responsible for memorizing the product menu available at each Grab-n-Go location.
• Assist in clean up and break down of the concession area at the end of the each workday.
• Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
• Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in basic food handling, sanitation, and customer service is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
