Protiviti Inc. seeks Manager, IAFA -Business Process Audit & Advisory in Houston, TX:  

Job Duties: Manage the development and quality assurance of key internal audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries. Perform all phases of Internal Audit projects (planning- reporting) for various clients with deep knowledge of the Internal Audit process as a Certified Internal Audit, executing a breadth of internal audits such as: Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Time Reporting, Environmental Compliance, FCPA Compliance, Workforce Management, and Risk Assessments. Focus on accounting, business process, and compliance audits and also perform IT-related audits. Develop a portfolio of business through exceptional client service delivery, active involvement in proposal opportunities and business research, and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti. Develop lasting relationships with client personnel and seek to further these relationships through quality service delivery and the successful execution of projects. Communicate the results of internal audit work to both internal supervisors and client management, verbally and in writing, with a high level of competency in technical writing and professional communications. Partial telecommuting is permitted. Up to 40% U.S. domestic travel to client sites may be required, as needed.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or three years of experience in the field of Accounting.  

Special Skill Requirements: 

  • Experience with the internal audit process including defining the scope, assessing risks (financial, operational and compliance), developing the audit plan, conducting fieldwork, developing appropriate recommendations/controls, preparing and presenting reports and consulting to gain acceptance and implementation of audit recommendations (1 year).
  • Experience with at least one of the following Audit Software: AuditBoard, CaseWare, Workiva, or BlackLine (3 years).
  • Experience with at least three of the following ERPs, Reporting, and Project Management Software: JD Edwards, SAP, Sage 50, Oracle PeopleSoft, Hubble Analytics, Oracle Hyperion Planning, Nexus, or e-Builder (3 years).
  • Experience executing the following type of IT audits: Software Implementation Project audits and IT General Controls audits (1 year). 
  • Experience with developing accounting processing flows and mapping using Microsoft Visio (1 year).
  • Experience with business processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Revenue with knowledge of accounting operations and/or financial frameworks (2 years).
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Compliance & testing, current accounting (GAAP) and auditing (GAAS) principles and International Professional Practices Framework, including COSO and PCAOB.
  • Experience supervising teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, and coordination across teams (2 years).

Partial telecommuting is permitted. Up to 40% U.S. domestic travel to client sites may be required, as needed. This position is eligible for our company’s Employee Referral Program.


Salary: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
