The Role at a Glance

 

The Group Protection Operations Team will help you grow your group benefits knowledge and establish strong partnerships (internally/externally) while working in this fast-paced environment. 

As a Contracts Service Processor for Group Benefits, you will be responsible for producing new business policies and Administrative Services Only/Advise to Pay (ASO/ATP) agreements for mid-large customer cases. You will also handle amendments and in force policy and agreement change requests that may involve customized provisions/language.  This opportunity will provide the ability to grow within the group insurance industry while gaining new skills and building strong working relationships. What you'll be doing

 

  • You will provide a diverse range of information and perform a diverse range of tasks/transactions related to common programs and services.
  • You will produce contracts for smaller, more routine cases, typically involving 1 or 2 lines of coverage.
  • You will handle amendments and in force change requests involving routine changes.
  • You will validate completeness of case/request information submitted; reaches out to appropriate stakeholders to clarify as needed.
  • You will review requests not-in-good-order (NIGO) to obtain critical information and prescreens amendment submissions prior to sharing with other team members.
  • Based on case/request details, you will select appropriate language/provisions to generate documentation such as: contracts, certificates, and administrative letters.
  • You will ensure generated documentation is compliant with state and federal regulations, underwriting guidelines, and company policies.
  • You will build and maintain business relationships through effective communication via email, phone with internal/external stakeholders in a customer centric and professional manner.
     

 

What we’re looking for

 

Must haves:

 

  • High School diploma or GED or minimum Associate degree in lieu of required experience. 
  • 2 - 3 Years of insurance operations experience directly aligned to the specific duties for this role OR for candidates with an Associate degree or above, 0-1 year of insurance operations experience directly aligned to the specific duties for this role. 

 

Nice to haves:

 

  • ARDIS and/or Converge experience.
  • Ability to articulate/alter provisions – comfortable with contract language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to be consultative with internal/external stakeholders 
  • Contract Administration or insurance operations experience 
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.

The pay range for this position is $22.21 - $28.85 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and
