Job Description Summary
To develop a company-wide Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) program that protects Eagles’ employees and assets, complies with all regulatory requirements and meets external party requirements for Health/Safety and Environmental in the ethical sourcing audit scheme.

Essential Functions
- Business Acumen/Technical Knowledge: an understanding of regulatory requirements in the HS&E area and experience developing and implementing standards across multiple locations at a corporate level.
- Ability to Work with Others: experience delivering results in collaboration with others and maintaining respectful working relationships with leaders, peers, and subordinates. Ability to direct/guide the work of others to achieve successful outcomes.
- Ability to Analyze Data and Solve Problems: able to analyze information, develop plans of action in coordination with others and see those actions through implementation, be they individual actions or actions assigned to others. Ability to assess if the implementation of actions delivered intended results, and if not adjust the implementation to ensure the delivery of the intended outcome. The ideal candidate can identify not only problems brought to them by others but also problems others may not know exist and coordinate the activities of others to fix them.

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Drive safety outcomes at all Eagle owned or run facilities.
- Develop rules, policies and procedures that are compliant with current HS&E regulations. Drive compliance in the workplace through site leaders and functional heads.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Leverage dashboards and outcomes to identify areas where problem solving and capability building are needed to improve systems, processes, people and ultimately results.
- Identify training and capability building programs (internal, external, OSHA, etc.) that should be followed at all locations by role to drive employee engagement and capability to deliver excellence.
- Coordinate the development of emergency response plans at all locations that align with the corporate plan in the HS&E space.
- Standardize safety systems and programs across locations in collaboration with local leaders to deliver expected results and drive Continuous Improvement.
- Develop a personal continuing education plan for yourself to stay up to date on industry and regulatory trends in the HS&E space.
- Take independent action to audit compliance with HS&E policies in all company locations. Where needed, identify reliable external partners to help assess performance, implement programs and improve results.
- Develop a robust company-wide incident reporting and investigation protocol to ensure all incidents are accurately recorded and reported internally and, when appropriate, externally within the required timeframes. Oversee the root cause analysis process as executed by functional leaders in company locations to ensure immediate corrective actions and long-term systemic actions are implemented to ensure the incident does not happen again.
