About the role

Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in electrical design of multidisciplinary manufacturing equipment.

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of electrical design and component selection of Magnus Metal systems and modules, being a part of a multidisciplinary engineering team. 

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Design and develop electrical power distribution and control panels/systems for industrial equipment, in compliance with safety standards and specific customer requirements

·       Specify and select components used for electrical controls and power distribution systems

·       Implement VFDs for motor control

·       Create electrical design documentation including power distribution diagrams, protection and control schematic diagrams, terminal connection diagrams, BOM lists etc.

·       Create control systems installation and operation instructions

·       Perform various electrical calculations including loads distribution, short circuit, power balance, cable sizing, magnetic interference shielding, harmonic filters, grounding etc.

·       Lead regulation approval audits and tests such as CE, UL, NFPA

·       Work with subcontractors and supervise electrical cabinets, assemblies and cables manufacturing

·       Participate in system beta testing, including site preparation and installation

·       Maintain Electrical part of the product file, including manufacturing and service-related documentation

Requirements

·       BSc degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering

·       7 years of electrical engineering experience in design of multidisciplinary process equipment

o  Induction heating/melting equipment – advantage

o  Metal additive manufacturing – advantage

o  Heavy machines, thermal processing, high temperature environment – advantage

o  Chemical Engineering equipment – advantage

·       Experience in electrical power distribution design of high-power three-phase equipment up to 800A

·       Experience in electrical control panel design, including PLC-based automation systems

·       Experience in working with subcontractors, electrical cabinet manufacturers and suppliers

·       Strong safety mindset with experience in complying to international safety regulations

·       Good learning ability and communication skills, both orally and in writing

·       Excellent interpersonal skills

·       Fluent English
