The salary range for this role, based remotely in California is $103,200 MIN to $129,000 MAX, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Position Summary:
The Field Marketing Manager (FMM) serves as the local marketing lead structuring all marketing activation plans for the Pernod Ricard USA spirits and wine portfolio across assigned division(s)/geographies. The FMM supports and influences national brand and channel planning by communicating local market intelligence and geography-specific growth opportunities to the Brand and Channel/Shopper Marketing teams. The role is a key conduit and trusted partner to cross-functional stakeholders across PRUSA sales and at the Distributor, enabling broader portfolio strategy execution. This role is also a critical thought partner for the Director of Field Marketing.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Responsible for execution and activation excellence for market entity to support sales/distributor network. Deep understanding and communication of local market-based insights and growth opportunities for assigned divisions/geographies. Core responsibilities for the following:
- Lead State Level Marketing Planning and Activation for Assigned Markets:
- Developing and communicating market level activation plans based upon national program priorities.
- Leading the development of a market level execution by ensuring national and local program assets are provided to Sales in order deliver upon program objectives.
- Synthesizing national channel specific plans and programs to consolidated market plans communicating both channel and portfolio priorities based on local market (channel, consumer, and shopper) dynamics.
- Supporting Field Marketing Director with capturing and consolidating local market insights/needs/dynamics, to be filtered to brand teams as part of annual planning, discovery, and master program briefing process.
- Serving as an initial filter and assessing the need for locally initiated programs where national programs will not meet local market needs. Leading the development of a Business case for the initiation of locally initiated programs based upon DICE modeling on Local Program generation.
Customer / Distributor Sell Decks & Program Communication:
- Furnishing or creating sell decks that contain program objectives / goals; shopper insights that anchor each national or local program; program media support; and one-page program sell sheets.
- Communicating program priorities at key distributor meetings (e.g., monthly and quarterly Distributor General Sales Meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews)
- Ensuring commercial objectives are developed for all programs and evaluations / ROIs are completed in a timely manner and communicated to key stakeholders; channel teams, field sales teams, and brand teams where necessary.
- Ensuring Best practices shared and utilized throughout commercial ecosystem.
Annual A&P Planning and Budget Management for Assigned Markets
- Leading market level budget development involving key stakeholders and all funding sources, ensuring corporate and brand strategies and priority adherence.
- Leading overall A&P management working with both Associate Field Marketing Manager, Field Marketing Director and local sales teams on optimal A&P deployment plan and day-to-day, line-item detail management & reconciliation
