Position Summary:

The HRBP Strategy & Operations Lead reports to the SVP, HR and is responsible for driving the operationalization and management of our shared GPS People Strategy. This role serves as a key member of the HR Leadership Team and is accountable for developing HR capabilities, leading strategy, and operations. The HR Strategy & Operations Lead will establish, manage, and govern the HR project management framework to enable the execution of complex multi-year projects and people initiatives aligned with the long-term strategy. Additionally, this role may also be accountable for providing strategic HR business partnering to one or more assigned business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the GPS HR Strategy & Operations Lead and Chief of Staff to SVP, HR GPS

• Provide stratey & operations leadership to GPS HR Leadership Team to drive business performance through focused shaping and execution of our short-term and long-term strategic priorities.

• Represent and coordinates a range of enterprise-wide initiatives (Strategic Workforce Planning, Remote by Design, Risk Assessment, etc.)

• Leads transformational initiatives that impact the entire organization.  Partners with and across the HR and GPS Business Leader communities to rapidly organize, launch, and govern major initiatives.

• Program Manages the GPS HR initiative portfolio, inclusive of resource allocation.

• Own and partner with SVP, HR & Senior HR Coordinator to manage aggregate GPS HR finances in partnership with Finance to ensure budget attainment and strategic planning.

• Takes a leadership role in creating a respectful and inclusive work environment while role-modeling the BMS Behaviors and fostering cultural diversity.

• Translates metrics and analytics to inform and influence the overall organization’s direction, driving business performance, efficiency, and ongoing engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred.

• 7+ years of experience within management consulting, business strategy, business operations or as HR Business Partner,

• 8+ years of Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or healthcare industry experience, strongly desired

• Proven success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision making and in supporting global organizations.

• Experience in the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance.

• Experience in leading change management efforts including defining change and communication plans.

• Demonstrated experience in applying workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies, and succession management.

• Proven application in leveraging business acumen and external insights to improve business and talent outcomes.

• Knowledge of external trends and factors that influence human behaviors and decision-making at the individual, group, and organizational level.

• Proven experience in working effectively within a matrixed environment and building alignment in a cross functional and team environment.
