Job Description

The Senior Collections Representative performs a wide variety of credit and collection functions including processing and verifying applications for credit and solicits payment on overdue accounts. Compiles necessary information from financial institutions such as banks and credit organizations. Responsibilities also include keeping records of all delinquent accounts, incomplete files, and credit risks. Sends follow-up letters. Accepts payment on certain accounts.

Key Accountabilities

• Drive collection calls and/or correspondence efforts in a fast paced goal oriented collections department
• Provide strategic customer service regarding collection issues, processing customer refunds, and review/process account adjustments
• Act as the first point of contact for all customer invoice matters
• Communicate and drive resolution tactics between the sales and customer care teams to provide high quality customer satisfaction
• Develop strong relationships with clients to strategically resolve any type of inquiry or discrepancy with detailed statements, bills, product orders, etc.
• Proficient in planning and organizing time to effectively and efficiently achieve objectives
• Contribute to the collections team to drive for timely and quality results
• Responsible for various month-end closing responsibilities (journal entries and general ledger reconciliations are performed in an accurate and timely manner).
• Participates in successful completion of both internal and external audit requests.
• Assits with ad-hoc, special projects as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
