Primary Duties: Oversee weaving maintenance activities and develop technicians for world class manufacturing performance. Support flag fixer technicians with chronic problem looms. Repair flagged looms and assist weavers as needed. Support with new product developments to ensure capability. Support maintenance and loom overhaul activities. Work to resolve issues/concerns with production, scheduling, equipment, and materials that occur during the assigned shift. Support Limestone’s safety process to ensure adequate guards are maintained and machines are operating at their expected levels.
Tools Required: Air Jet Weaving Machines, complete set of hand tools, necessary gauges and specialty tools, Company issued lock out/tag out, Power On caution tag, goggles/safety glasses, dust mask, steel toe shoes, utility knife, cut resistant glove, scissors, reed hook, cloth markers, OSHA approved air nozzle for compressed air, ear plugs, tugger with trailer, and brooms.
Materials Used: Slashed and unslashed warps, filling yarn packages, and lubricants.
Job Procedures:
- Follow all established Plant Safety rules.
- Lead Limestone weave maintenance activities including all flag and maintenance technicians
- Overhaul looms and perform preventative maintenance.
- Make sure cam boxes are pumping oil. Monitor bearing temperatures and repairs. Clean lint off main drive and filter motors.
- Repair flagged/chronic looms. Always check the quality of fabric on loom before you leave.
- Check status and sign off on all warp out looms. Check quality of the fabric before you leave the loom.
- Assist repairing breakdown looms and help weavers with problem looms, as needed.
- Support style changes as necessary. Check fabric quality before you leave the loom.
- Write shop orders as necessary to keep equipment operating as scheduled.
- Observe associates for safe working habits; correct anyone working unsafely.
