POSITION SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will be responsible for aspects of the accounting for the company’s corporate function. This includes the closing of the books and preparation of the financial statements. The candidate will work closely with corporate personnel, and the external financial and internal audit groups, and will be a key point of contact for entity Controllers with respect to accounting.
Career progression opportunities exist within the finance groups of our Operating Companies as well as the corporate finance group in financial planning and analysis as well as controllership roles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Corporate consolidation processes & preparation of financial statements.
- Corporate accounting systems administration.
- Prepare and analyze the monthly reporting packages used by Veralto leadership teams.
- Coordinate and support corporate activities and initiatives with finance leaders at the Veralto Operating Companies.
- Participate in and act as a resource for global finance projects and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, increasing standard work and creating global best practice processes.
- Assist in the maintenance of a strong SOX-compliant control environment.
- Support business audits conducted by external and internal auditors, as required.
- Support, as required, the integration of acquisitions including the monitoring of purchase accounting activity as well as post-acquisition integration activities.
- Support functional areas, as required, by providing financial and business analytic support.
- Support the benefits accounting function.
- Support stock option and RSU accounting.
- Work with the Benefits Accounting Manager and Payroll to ensure proper taxation of benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Finance or Accounting Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant certification preferred. 3-5 years of relevant experience Understanding of employee compensation / pension accounting preferred. A working knowledge of US GAAP is expected.
A highly qualified candidate may also have some of the below experiences:
- Large international manufacturing industry experience
- Oracle (ERP), Alteryx, and OneStream tools experience, along with Access/Sequel databases
- Experience with pension plan audits and stock option accounting a plus.
