About the Role

HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices.  As a member of our team, your primary role will be to support HALOsonic Product Development which focuses on applications of sound synthesis and active noise control.

What You Will Do

• Perform acoustic and/or vibration measurements as well as post-process the data

• Assist in software tool development by programming in MATLAB and/or C++

What You Need

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program

• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

• Must have taken courses in Controls, Signal Processing, Acoustics, and Mechanical Vibrations

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and executives

• Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

What Makes You Eligible

• Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan.

• Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
• Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
• Must provide full work availability from May 20, 2024 through August 9, 2024 and be able to work 40 hours per week
