Position Summary:
Technicians are responsible for participating with the Fabrication team members in planning, organizing, and performing the necessary maintenance and shop functions to maintain the facility and/or equipment under the supervision of the Lead Technician and Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comply with all Safety rules, Nestle Integrated Management System and all other company policies and procedures
- Complete work orders in AMM (Asset and Maintenance Management) work orders using shop equipment or portable equipment for work in the Fabrication area and other departments such as pilot plants.
- Determine as needed fits, finishes and equipment functionality.
- Welding/ fabricate-Weld stainless tubing, pipe, sheet metal, and structural materials.
- Emergency repair-support of equipment breakdowns, safety, and quality issues
- Perform maintenance and fabrication type welding. Emphasis on Hygienic TIG. MIG, and Stick welding. With need to pass stainless steel open root test.
- Need to be capable of fitting pipe and sheet metals.
- Need basic knowledge of press breaks, industrial shear, and roll forming.
- Assists others in setups and problem solving when asked.
- Accurately read and interpret drawing, blueprints, and sketches
- Be able to work from verbal instructions and rough sketches.
- Conceive ideas and produce parts to solve production problems.
- Work in a TEAM environment.
- Make machine and material selections.
- Clean up equipment and work area at end of your shift. Maintain a safe, clean work area for team and self
- High quality and quantity of work completed by self and team.
- Interact and participate with project teams as required.
Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of related experience required.
- Knowledge of Maintenance, Welding and/or Fabrication Shop operations with demonstrated expertise in two or more skilled trade areas and has adequate knowledge in all
