Advanced Systems Engineer - Strategic Weapons Control (NDS)

Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.  Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a systems engineer for Strategic Weapons Control Platform, you’ll support leading a cross functional team responsible for Fire Control Systems. 

 

What You’ll Experience:- Engage in technical documentation, gap analysis, and resolution, and provide technical approvals.

- Develop and continuously refine project backlogs (Epics/Features) and define acceptance criteria.- Collaborate with Agile teams to coordinate dependencies, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with Agile processes.

 

What You Bring to the Table:- Proficiency in systems engineering principles, requirements management, and system modeling tools.- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts.- Initiative and independent judgment, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and complex assignments.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a strong grasp of new information quickly.- Ability to work under limited direction and contribute to major projects and business objectives.

 

What Sets You Apart:- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tasks including developing and updating status reports, BCRs, and VARs.- Expertise in project team management, including backlog development, refinement, and acceptance criteria definition.- Ability to propose technical solutions, own technical documentation, and conduct gap analysis and technical approvals.- Skilled in interfacing with customers and co-contractors at programmatic and technical levels.- Experience in risk management, internal design reviews, and defect resolution, with the ability to track and support various technical meetings and documentation.

Workplace Options:This position is flex from site and requires a presence in facility.While on-site, you will be a part of the Pittsfield, MA location. 

 

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $115,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
