About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is interested in joining a highly dynamic and creative development team. This is a leadership role within the Information Technology Department. Verato’s SaaS software offering is a healthcare-specific Master Data Management (hMDM) platform that provides our customers with a complete and trusted 360-degree view of their patients, consumers, and providers. This technical software development position is focused on enhancing an established product based on client needs. Verato offers competitive comprehensive benefits and compensation. This position reports to the Director of Platform Engineering within the IT Department.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the design and development of Verato’s Software as a Service offering.
- Work effectively within an Agile framework to deliver new capabilities.
- Design, build, test, run, and maintain backend microservices.
- Write well-tested code that’s reliable and scalable.
- Develop and maintain Kafka based events processing service.
- Build integrations with different enterprise systems using APIs and SSO
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle: Design of new components, New feature development, Test Automation, Performance and Scalability tuning, Issue Troubleshooting, SW Maintenance, Usage and improvement of the CI/CD Infrastructure, Integration of new services with the DevOps infrastructure, etc.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
Required:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or Technical Field.
- 5 years of experience in the Software Development field
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming and Java Design Patterns
- Strong programming skills utilizing enterprise Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.
- Solid understanding of SSO strategies involving OAuth, OIDC, and SAML flow
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining microservices and REST APIs
- Expertise in writing SQL queries to read/write data
- Willing to own all aspects of software development from coding to writing test automation to building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
