Position Details:
The Franchise Marketing Manager plays a critical role in bridging brand strategy and local execution. This role partners directly with franchisees to drive revenue growth, client acquisition, and brand awareness through effective local marketing planning, execution support, and performance accountability.
This position is equal parts strategist, coach, and operator supporting franchisees while ensuring alignment with company marketing standards and business goals.
Role Overview
The Franchise Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing franchisee marketing performance across assigned markets. You will guide franchise partners through marketing planning, campaign execution, and performance optimization while ensuring consistency with brand standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, collaborative, and comfortable balancing relationship management with accountability. You understand that successful franchise marketing requires both partnership and structure.
Key Responsibilities
Franchisee Marketing Support & Accountability
Partner with franchisees to understand business goals, local market dynamics, and growth opportunities.
Develop and oversee localized marketing plans aligned with brand strategy and revenue objectives.
Provide ongoing coaching and direction to franchisees on marketing execution and priorities.
Hold franchise partners accountable to agreed-upon marketing plans, timelines, and performance expectations.
Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for assigned franchise locations.
Local Marketing Strategy & Execution
Support franchisees in planning and executing local marketing initiatives including digital, partnerships, events, and community activations.
Guide budget allocation and channel strategy to maximize ROI.
Assist with grand opening marketing plans and local launch execution.
Ensure brand standards and messaging consistency across all franchise marketing efforts.
Performance Tracking & Optimization
Monitor key performance metrics including new clients, campaign performance, lead generation, and local engagement.
Analyze results and provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve performance.
Identify underperforming markets and implement recovery plans alongside franchise partners.
Training & Enablement
Lead marketing training, workshops, and webinars to improve franchisee marketing knowledge and execution.
Create scalable tools, templates, and resources to support franchise success.
Educate franchisees on marketing technology platforms, systems, and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with the brand and national marketing teams to align local initiatives with system-wide campaigns.
Provide field feedback to inform national marketing strategy and future initiatives.
Support rollout of national promotions and marketing programs across franchise locations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
3+ years of marketing experience, preferably within franchise, retail, hospitality, or multi-location environments.
Strong understanding of local marketing, digital channels, and campaign execution.
