About the role

The Quality Program Manager (QPM) facilitates quality improvement programs to standardize care delivery, increase reliability, promote high value care and support an effective quality management system at Swedish.  Under the direction of Population Health leadership and in collaboration with operational and clinical leadership, the QPM leads the design, implementation, and sustainment of prioritized quality goals by supporting complex, cross-functional quality programs.

Using quality improvement methodologies and tools, evidence-based clinical pathways, risk assessments, and data analysis, the QPM leads, facilitates and mentors individuals, teams and committees to improve quality outcomes, patient safety and performance in payor/government programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Upon hire: Licensure as applicable to educational background
  • Within 90 days of hire: Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Basic Certificate in Quality and Safety
  • 3 years Healthcare.
  • 3 years If bachelor's degree is in an unrelated field, an additional 3 years of industry experience is required.
  • Interpreting regulatory standards, clinical guidelines, national quality metrics, and health services research.
  • Work experience in quality management, patient safety, systems thinking, change management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Health administration, public health, or related field.
  • Master's Degree Healthcare administration, public health, nursing, business or related subject.
  • Electronic Health Record.
  • IHI, Six Sigma and/or Lean process improvement.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
