About the role
What functions will you perform?
ID Energy Group is looking for new colleague to join our project finance team in Hungary, reporting to the Head of Project Finance. As a Project Finance Manager, you will be responsible to manage the financing of renewable energy projects in the region (Hungary, Serbia and Italy).Responsibilities:
- Managing the financing of renewable energy projects, supporting the relationships with banks in the region (Hungary, Serbia and Italy) with strong cooperation with the HQ Structured Finance Team in Spain
- Lead end-to-end financing processes for renewable energy projects, particularly PV + BESS hybrid structures.
- Coordinate and lead financing processes including RFPs, term sheet negotiations, and financial close.
- Support the negotiation of loan agreements in collaboration with the relevant internal departments
- Preparation and revision of financial models for renewable energy projects
- Responsible for coordinating the issuance of bank and insurance guarantees and every kind of securities to be issued in Hungary either to private and public bodies.
- Assessment of the financing possibilities for new projects.
- Maintaining solid and stable relationships with potential lenders investors, and financial advisors
- Carrying out the financial due diligence of M&A transactions.
- Coordination with the central finance team in Spain.
- Support ad-hoc tasks in order to achieve the company's business and growth strategy, ensuring business continuity regarding company projects.
Your profile
- Relevant University degree in finance, economics, or business administration
- 5 years’ work experience in M&A, project/structured/corporate finance, project development, business development, and investment banking (experience in renewable energy is an advantage)
- Analytical person with hands-on and highly ambitious / entrepreneurial attitude, solution oriented, hungry for growth and constantly striving for excellence
- Change management skills: ability to work in a dynamic environment with many changes
- Prior history in negotiating and resolving complex issues through strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholder
- Experience working with lenders and negotiating financing documentation.
- Native in Hungarian and fluent English knowledge
Nice to have:
- Proven track record of closing project finance transactions (ideally PV and/or BESS).
- Strong understanding of energy markets, PPAs, and storage business models.
- Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel; knowledge of VBA or Python is a plus).
