About This Role 

Textron Systems is seeking new and recent graduates to join our Sea Systems business area to develop autonomy solutions and apply machine learning, vision, and other emerging technologies to enhance our unmanned surface vehicle platforms. 

Your day may include designing, simulating, constructing, and field-testing autonomous surface vehicles and their subsystems. Our goal is to deliver disruptive autonomy technologies that enhance our customers’ mission capabilities. We work on applied research and development initiatives as well as established programs, and leverage diversity of thought to improve Textron Systems’ lines of robotic products. Check out our exciting platforms here ! 

Position requires no more than 25% travel. 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications 

Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's, master’s, and PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering with focus in robotics or autonomy. We want your experience to include: 

  • Intelligence and machine learning applications 
  • Helping machines perceive their environment, using vision or other methods 
  • Teamed or multiagent autonomous vehicle simulations (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink or Gazebo) 
  • Fabricating or designing air, land, or sea-based robots 
  • (Preferable) Controls, multiagent autonomy, robotic middleware such as ROS, PX4, ArduPilot, or MOOS-IvP, and simulation environments such as ANSYS or Unreal 
  • This position requires an individual to be a U.S. citizen with he ability to obtain a security clearance.<
