Senior Director, Technology Operations

What you'll do...

We are seeking a Senior Director, Business Operations within Walmarts International Technology organization to drive the annual operating plan as well as the long-range operating plan, ensuring these plans are aligned with our technology strategy and business objectives. This strategic leadership role will focus on optimizing cross-functional collaboration, integrating regional business operations with enterprise functions, standardizing processes, optimizing workforce operations, and ensuring P;L accountability to enhance efficiency, scalability, and technology performance.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership ; Market Integration Develop and execute a global business operations strategy that aligns regional market needs with enterprise processes. Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate business processes, workforce planning, and financial oversight across international markets. Partner with regional leaders to identify operational gaps, drive efficiencies, and enhance market responsiveness. Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance, risk management, and operational consistency.

Workforce Operations ; Organizational Optimization Oversee workforce planning, ensuring optimal allocation of talent, resources, and capabilities across technology teams. Develop strategies to enhance workforce efficiency, productivity, and engagement in alignment with business goals. Collaborate with HR and regional and enterprise leaders to drive talent optimization, retention, and skill development initiatives. Implement workforce analytics and reporting mechanisms to inform strategic decision-making.

Operational Excellence ; Process Optimization Define and implement scalable operational models to enhance cross-market collaboration and efficiency. Drive continuous improvement efforts, leveraging data-driven insights to streamline workflows and optimize performance. Oversee the deployment and adoption of enterprise-wide systems, ensuring seamless integration across geographies. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to monitor operational health and drive decision-making.

Financial ; P;L Management Partner with Finance to develop and manage the P;L and operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business goals Drive financial forecasting, resource planning, and strategic investment decisions to support business growth. Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements that reduce costs and improve productivity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration ; Stakeholder Management Act as a bridge between regional business units and corporate teams (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Product, Legal) to enhance operational synergy. Foster strong relationships with senior leadership, ensuring alignment on business priorities and operational execution. Lead change management initiatives, driving adoption of new processes and technologies across markets.

What You'll Bring:

15+ years of experience in business operations, workforce planning, and financial management within a global technology or multinational organization. Proven track record of integrating regional markets with central operations in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Strong expertise in workforce operations, strategic resource planning, and financial oversight. Experience managing large-scale operational budgets and P;L responsibilities. Expertise in operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile). Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs that drive business transformation. Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills at the executive level. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and data-driven decision-making skills.
