Facilities Specialist

Position Summary 
This role is responsible for performing typical maintenance tasks to support all facilities.

Essential Functions Statement:
•    Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
•    Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
•    Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
•    Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, machine repair, plant layout, painting, and janitorial.
•    Assist with wastewater preparation and discharge.

Required Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 2 years in facility maintenance
Computer Skills: Basic Microsoft Office Suites

Required Certificates and Licenses
Valid Driver’s License

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
• Must have good command of the English language, oral and written

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work (please verify the below information).

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with department and business needs. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

This job operates in an environment that varies from a clerical, office setting using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines to a warehouse setting with various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold to also shop-floor locations, ramp and outdoors with potential adverse weather conditions and high noise levels

Travel 

Travel requirements are: 25%
