About the role

Essential Functions:

  • Assist Business Development Operations and CRC Operations Management with the development of site budgets for Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Assist in preparation of overall site budget templates for awarded trials in consultation with VP and Director, Research Site Services
  • Manage budget review and negotiation during site start-up for all CRC trials
  • Manage budget review and re-negotiation for all trial changes and protocol amendments
  • Coordinate and update site payment process in the CRC CTMS system (e.g., Clinical Conductor)
  • Oversee CRC site payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness (working w/ Finance Dept)
  • Review and verify applicable data reports for processing milestone payments, per scope and contractual agreements
  • Establish and maintain CRC local study vendors relationships
  • Manage the receipt, review, and processing of CRC and vendor invoices
  • Prepare all payment requests and collaborate with CTI Finance to ensure appropriate payment information is correct for processing
  • Communicate with sponsor and/or CRO regarding CRC site budget negotiation, invoice corrections/clarifications, and status of payments
  • Communicate with trial Sponsors regarding budget and payment parameters, status of site negotiations and communications, pass-through costs, and addresses any Sponsor site budget or site payment-related inquiries
  • Manage supporting documentation for pass through costs/additional costs outside the parameters of the CTA/budget (e.g., subjects travel expenses, additional equipment or medication)
  • Prepare reports for Finance Department about payments, outstanding invoices, or forecasts for CRC
  • Collaborate with Finance to address any Sponsor inquiries related to CRC payments
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to other CRC or CTI associates engaged in budget negotiation and/or site payment related activities
  • Clinical Conductor Super User: database, budget build for billing, runs financial projection reports, provide database metrics in support of BD operations and CRC clinical operations
  • Input data into Salesforce Business Development platform
  • Interact with CTI finance department on all CRC A/P, A/R matters, provide all study related invoicing data to finance dept on monthly basis
  • Act as liaison with legal department; manage flow of CDA, CTA, study budgets between CRC, CROs, and sponsors
  • Communicate and coordinate maintenance needs with CTI CRC site property management group
  • Assist in completion of expense reports
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating feasibility and study start-up activities between clinical, regulatory, and recruiting departments

Required Education/Experience:

  • 3-5 years relevant experience working to support business and financial activities related to clinical trials conducted at a clinical research site
  • Experience with contracts, budgets, financial analysis
  • Associate Degree or equivalent

 

Preferred Education:

  • Experience in Clinical Research or related field
