About the role
SG&A Planning and Forecasting
- Support SG&A expense management across Merchandising, Marketing, Partner Solutions, Business Management, and Memorabilia segments
- Lead budgeting and forecasting of salaries, benefits, bonus, commissions, outside services, and travel & entertainment expenses
- Leverage financial modeling skills to develop reports and dashboards that provide visibility, encourage action, and enable strong financial performance
- Perform trend and variance analysis, proactively communicate and implement action plans
Sports Memorabilia Financial Partnership
- Partner with Sports Memorabilia leadership, a subsidiary of the Fanatics portfolio focusing on game-used and authentic product
- Drive business performance, expense management, and inventory efficiency
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Provide ad hoc analyses for leadership, ROI analysis on prospective ventures and initiatives, and variance analysis on performance
- Utilize data analysis skills to distill complex data sets into actionable insights
Inventory and Planning
- Partner with Commerce merchandising organization to drive strong inventory performance across eCommerce, In-Venue, and Wholesale segments
- Proactively drive insight into balance sheet performance related to inventory and working capital
- Aid in development of monthly reporting for inventory actuals and forecasts; conduct variance analysis and drive insight and action
- Track and maintain financial reporting related to excess inventory and the corresponding impacts on the company's financials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a wholesale, retail, or consumer goods industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis skills with advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, advanced formulas, ERP integration)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred
- Strong business acumen, detail-oriented mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, influencing decision-making and driving financial performance
- Strong desire to learn, brings passion and positive attitude each day to uplift colleagues and partners
