The Team
The Digital Forensics team at AT&T is a specialized group of experts dedicated to supporting the company’s legal and compliance objectives through meticulous digital evidence collection, preservation, and analysis. This team ensures digital investigations meet the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, and legal defensibility.
Working at the intersection of technology and law, the team collaborates closely with legal counsel, compliance officers, and external partners to provide critical forensic insights for litigation, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations. Their work includes recovering and analyzing electronic data in a manner that supports the chain of custody requirements and meets strict evidentiary standards.
The Digital Forensics team at AT&T combines deep technical expertise with a comprehensive understanding of legal processes, enabling the company to navigate complex digital investigations with confidence and uphold compliance in an evolving regulatory landscape.
How you will contribute
Our Digital Forensics Director will lead a team of examiners responsible for conducting thorough forensic investigations, ensuring the preservation and collection of digital evidence, and developing robust, defensible policies and procedures. This role will work closely with IT, Legal and other stakeholders during technology rollouts to identify forensic requirements and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to drive excellence in digital forensic operations. The primary responsibilities you will undertake include:
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of digital forensic examiners, ensuring high performance, continuous skill development, and adherence to best practices in forensic analysis.
Collaboration with IT and Technology Stakeholders:
- Partner closely with IT teams during new technology rollouts to identify and implement preservation and collection requirements, ensuring digital evidence integrity from the outset of system deployment.
Forensic Strategy and Execution:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and review of digital forensic investigations, including data acquisition, analysis, and reporting, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and defensibility.
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop, review, and maintain defensible digital forensics policies and procedures that comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards, ensuring consistency and repeatability in forensic processes.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure comprehensive and defensible documentation of forensic activities, findings, and methodologies to support regulatory compliance, legal proceedings, and internal investigations.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation:
- Evaluate emerging forensic tools and technologies to enhance team capabilities and forensic effectiveness, recommending solutions that align with organizational needs.
- Manage forensic tool licenses, updates, and integrations with enterprise security infrastructure.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate complex forensic findings clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including legal teams, management, and external partners.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Monitor and enforce compliance with data privacy, security policies, and relevant laws related to digital evidence handling and forensic investigations.
