VP Analytics and Reporting - Real Estate

The optimization of data and automation of reporting will be critical to our success as we continue to grow and enhance our product offerings.  In this position you provide date-driven insights and automated reporting for internal and external stakeholders.  We are looking for an accomplished analytics and reporting professional with a passion for real estate and a talent for seeing the story behind the data to build and lead a team of reporting and analytics specialists.

The Role:   This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities.  You will both lead a team and also be hands-on to:

• Build out a reporting and analytics architecture that prioritizes the most important data across the organization and focuses attention on high impact items
• Produce data stories using visualizations tools using Tableau
• Create meaningful professional executive level presentations
• Automate reporting and dashboards that are connected to financial results
• Highlight key trends derived from data analysis and be a resource for improving data proficiency throughout the organization
• Collaborate with peers and business leaders in developing descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analytics solutions
• Effectively present and discuss findings and recommendations with business leadership

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree focused in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or Computer Science
• 6+ years’ experience in data science or data analytics, working to derive meaningful information through data analysis and data visualization
• Prior experience managing a reporting, BI, or analytics team
• Comfortable presenting to investors and leadership teams
• Experience in the Real Estate Industry is desirable
• Solid experience managing and coaching analytics and /or data professionals
• Expert in Microsoft Excel, BI tools and SQL for extraction and analysis of data from multiple sources.
• Additional background in marketing or visual design for presentations and analytics a plus
• Demonstrable talent for deriving actionable business insights from raw data, able to draw meaningful conclusions and present recommendations in a compelling way
