Job Description

NBCUniversal is looking for a Vice Present, Global Security – NBC Sports Operations to join our Global Security Operations team in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will lead Sports Security Operations at one of the world’s largest global media companies. NBC Sports is comprised of NBC Sports headquarters and NBC Olympics based in Stamford, and NBC Sports NEXT in Orlando and Minneapolis. 

In this role, you will oversee and coordinate security for facilities in Stamford and Monroe CT, Orlando FL, and Minneapolis MN, as well as security efforts for NBC Sports remote productions and special events around the world. You will ensure NBCUniversal’s employees, visitors, property and assets remain protected and secure. Reporting directly to the Global Chief Security Officer, this role will manage a multi-location team and travel regularly in support of the NBCU Sports organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and lead a team that protects people and assets from a wide range of concerns, including: theft, fraud, sabotage and potentially violent attacks
• Assure the quality, consistency, and efficiency of security operations; incident prevention, response, and investigation; and crisis response for NBC Sports
• Lead and continuously improve security programs aimed at safeguarding employees and guests of NBC Sports, remote productions and special events
• Oversee security planning, training, and operations for major productions like the Olympics, Superbowl, and other high-profile events involving recognizable talent, multiple locations, and highly complex logistics.
• Leverage existing relationships with local, state, and national law enforcement and intelligence agencies, both domestically and internationally,    
• Drive accountability with contracted security vendors and ensure they adhere to our policies and procedures when hired to support NBCU sports-related events
• Work with NBCU business leaders and security partners to identify, quantify, and prioritize potential risks before creating cost-efficient mitigation strategies.
• Regularly collaborate with other business support units to plan, jointly coordinate, and streamline response to a multitude of potential incidents and events
• Partner with other departments on investigations into security incidents and assist with any disciplinary or legal actions associated with such incidents
• Build relationships with peers in media and other related industries to benchmark, share intelligence, collaborate on best practices
• Continually and effectively communicate security issues and decisions impacting business operations with appropriate internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

What You Must Have:

• 15+ years of experience in an operational or strategic leadership role in corporate security, law enforcement, military service, or similar
• Prior experience collaborating with leaders from local, state and national-level law enforcement and other government agencies

What Would Make You a Stand-out:

• Previous leadership experience overseeing major physical security operations at a global company, especially one in the media and entertainment industry
• Significant leadership role(s) in Law Enforcement, Intelligence, or the Military
