Project Overview:
Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.
Job Summary:
The Quality Software Specialist will report to the Contractor Assurance System (CAS) Manager in the Quality Assurance Organization and will support the maintenance, development, and implementation of the WTP Contractor Assurance Program.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-SF1
Major Responsibilities:
- Supports software upgrades, application functional maintenance activities, lifecycle documentation development support, application testing, and user guide and FAQ development.
- Documenting user problems through the use on an online problem management systems including opening, updating status, and closing problem tickets.
- Provide responsive level to desk side customer support and resolution of software issues.
- Develops test procedures and plans for project developed software applications and creates and records test scripts for use.
- Assists in the preparation and/or review of procedures, plans, and reports.
- Supports implementation of contractor assurance programs including closed loop corrective actions, assessments, metrics, trending, and lessons learned.
- Ability to work closely with technical teams, senior leadership, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders in developing and managing Contractor Assurance systems/processes.
