Strategic Initiatives Analyst

The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision of Empowering Generations, Transforming Communities. This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs.

The Strategic Initiatives Analyst will drive data-supported innovation initiatives with project management skills to transform insights into actionable results.

Responsibilities:

Analytics and Strategy

• Lead data-driven decision making through data and analytics, including simulation, optimization, machine learning and predictive modeling to assess business impact and shape strategic initiatives.
• Communicate findings in a cohesive manner, including summarizing insights from research. Builds appropriate narratives via both written communication and verbal presentations. Effectively communicate complex technical subjects to nontechnical audiences, present comfortably and compellingly to senior audiences.
• Conduct comprehensive market and product research to track changes and developments in the marketplace that FCCU can leverage to enhance our product and service offerings. Analyze trends, consumer and small business needs, competitive offerings, and emerging opportunities and threats.
• Evaluate FCCU member segments, market conditions and competitor data to assist in targeting and program development.

Innovation and Product Development

• Establish and manage a repeatable process for ideation, prototyping, testing, launching, and iterating new products, processes, services, or technologies.
• Ensure thorough vetting of readiness for deployment to end users and continuously evolve and improve the process based on lessons learned.
• Design and lead primary research initiatives-including focus groups and surveys-to gather insights, generate new ideas, and drive innovation.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to inform strategies and develop solutions.
• Develop and track KPIs to assess strategic alignment, effectiveness, and ROI of initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a broad network of internal and external sources to inform strategies.

Project Management

• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources, including facilitating status meetings and providing updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and changes while ensuring alignment with objectives.
• Create and maintain project documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement through iterative development.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fully support in actions and words FCCU's Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Service Standards. Dress and represent First Commerce in a professional manner.
• Perform job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States.
• Comply with Reg E, BSA, OFAC and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to appropriate authorities.
• Ability to travel within and occasionally outside the North Florida and South Georgia area. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Self-starter with a proven track record of fostering ideation and innovation and business acumen to successfully prototype, develop, launch, expand, and iterate profitable ventures.
• Experience developing and presenting business cases, balancing comprehensive research and data analysis to develop hypotheses to drive experimentation.
• Requires critical thinking skills, exceptional communication skills, strong analytic and decision-making ability.
