The Role:

We are looking for an analytical, development-minded, and dynamic Senior Manager, Global Accounting Operations to join our finance team in Helsinki. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to our financial infrastructure and business growth. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, implement best practices and internal controls, and play a key role in developing more efficient and scalable processes. You will foster a cross-functional understanding of accounting operations and processes within the organization. What You'll Do:

  • Lead and mentor our dedicated Accounting, AR and AP professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Oversee daily accounting AR and AP operations for accurate and efficient accounting, billing, vendor payments and travel expense management. The teams are responsible for tasks related to the parent company and more than ten foreign subsidiaries.
  • Lead the month-end close, financial statements and audit processes
  • Develop and maintain related financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance, internal controls, and handling complex inquiries and accounting topics.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation, collaborating with other functions to enhance end-to-end workflow efficiency, processes and systems.
  • Contribute to and lead new system implementation projects, from planning and requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and integration of interfaces with other systems. 
  • Provide related system guidance and training for activities, prepare and analyze KPIs and reports, offering insights and recommendations to senior management.

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience either from an in-house accounting manager or other similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practice, financial reporting and AP&AR functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and automation.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace/MS Office, financial software and ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite).
  • Excellent team lead and mentorship, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
