Senior Cloud Data Architect

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science). (Required)

Minimum Work Experience

• Requires deep functional knowledge with 6+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Knowledge of cloud computing security; DevOps; CI/CD data pipeline tools like Jenkins; Microsoft Azure; Virtual Private Network (VPN)
• Knowledge of software design patterns and familiarity with enterprise application architectural styles (Microserver, Broker, Serverless, etc.)
• Knowledge of hosting services in a cloud environment with high levels of security along with database technologies with distributed cache management.

Functional Accountabilities

• Leads the deployment of the overall cloud data architecture. Areas of focus include organizational structure, identity and access management, networking, security and ingestion.

• Develops standards, frameworks, patterns, and processes to benefit existing stakeholders.

• Engages with key stakeholders, industry experts, and technical peers to understand technology and business requirements, industry trends and the boarder data architecture landscape.

• Develops and maintains the technical data architecture direction and roadmap for cloud data capabilities.

• Maintains a strong understanding of the current cloud data platform and proactively leads the analysis of the technology environment to detect deficiencies, gaps, and opportunities. Works with leadership to prioritize, initiate and implement technology efforts aimed at addressing these opportunities.
