What You’ll Do:
As a Maintenance Technician 3, you’ll be part of our team located in East Longmeadow, MA. You’ll get to:
Perform highly diversified mechanical skills to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment including mechanical, , pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems to a component level, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Interpret diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Detect and report faulty operations and defective material. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years of applied trades training
Ability to read complicated drawings, specifications, charts and tables
Experience using precision measuring instruments, tool room machines and equipment
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Must be able to comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Key competencies include technical capacity, ethical conduct, communication proficiency, results driven and initiative.
Must have demonstrated full cycle project management skills in support of new product/process development and/or equipment refurbishment, including determination of project scope, procurement, timeline, communication, contingency plans, etc.
