The Compliance Director is responsible for managing foundational and strategic compliance accountabilities that support various aspects of Carrum Health’s Compliance Program. In this role the Compliance Director will serve as a key member with strong leadership skills of the Compliance Department and perform work to ensure Carrum Health’s compliance efforts are designed to strengthen a culture that promotes prevention, detection and correction of non-compliance. This position is also responsible for the coordination and administration of a broad scope of Compliance Program activities, projects and initiatives under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Contracting & Risk Strategy. 

This is a full time position, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $60,000 plus bonus, depending on level of experience and geographic location.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Program at the direction of the Senior Vice President, Contracting & Risk Strategy and collaboration with our IT, data, and other cross-functional teams. 
  • Lead compliance initiatives and provide direction to drive results and ensure compliance projects are completed and communicated on time. 
  • Lead the development of compliance training programs (required annual and ongoing training) for Carrum Health which includes, monitoring training completion, running reports and conducting ad hoc compliance training. 
  • Work with Senior Vice President, Contracting & Risk Strategy to recommend, develop and manage compliance risk assessments and compliance audits. Develop follow-up action based upon audit findings. 
  • Oversee in the development, evaluation, updating, training and implementation of Carrum Health compliance policies and procedures, including but not limited to Code of Conduct, business continuity, disaster recovery and other compliance policies.
  • Manage the compliance hotline for Carrum Health including investigation, remediation and corrective action as needed; managed the investigation process, including monitoring and documenting the investigation and resolution of complaints. Conduct investigations of compliance hotline reports or evidence of non-compliance under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Contracting & Risk Strategy. 
  • Conduct compliance and HIPAA-related investigations, including conducting HIPAA risk assessments and report findings to Carrum Health leadership. 
  • Assist in developing, implementing, evaluating, and updating compliance and HIPAA and incident response policies and procedures, as needed.
  • Conduct research into new and revised laws and regulations applicable to Carrum Health's operations and provide recommendations to Carrum Health leadership regarding potential implementation.
  • Work with Senior Vice President, Contracting & Risk Strategy to develop and manage the initiatives and objectives of the Compliance Work Plan, and Audit Plan. 
  • Oversee and manage Carrum’s vendor management, including screening process and perform routine sanction screenings of Carrum Health’s contracted providers, vendors, and other groups as deemed necessary.
  • Oversee and provide advice related to compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, internal or other requirements.
  • Manage and operate Carrum Health’s Compliance, Privacy and Security Committee, including scheduling meetings, developing agendas and other committee-related governance materials; report the Committee findings to the Senior Vice President, Contracting & Risk Strategy and Carrum Health executive leadership on a periodic basis.
