Job Summary/Purpose

Responsible for developing, planning and directing OpCo Business Development and Sustainability efforts, activities and policies with emphasis on growth and sustainability in the company's service territory. Integrates economic development with CSRs through communication, collaboration, and project management execution to better capture new, expansion, and retention opportunities in C&I markets. Integrates community development activities with CSRs. Interacts with corporate Economic Development group on Industry-focused business development, strategic research, and investment in innovative technologies that provides lead generation, greater control over projects, and consistency in quality and speed of service delivery.

 

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategic direction, planning, and performance of organization to develop profitable growth opportunities in the Entergy's footprint.
  • Develop programs that support and enhance the company's competitiveness for growth with state and local Economic Development partners and allies.
  • Create and manage stakeholder and customer engagement strategy/partnership regarding customer specific sustainability plans, local land use approvals.
  • Project management leadership for new prospects project development and bid preparation including business case development, risk committee concurrence and capital approval process management; develop Tier 1 sites to attract significant business expansion and job growth.
  • Coordinate with peer OpCo Directors & Corp ED to understand their industry focus at a regional and state level to be incorporated using market analysis into a strategic business development and sales plan for implementation with Strategic Marketing Analysts and Business Development Managers
  • Direct functions to grow & retain existing revenues and meet service needs commercial customers.
  • Lead on development of grants and public/private partnerships for federal funding opportunities through BRIC, HMGP, IIJA and other grant opportunities.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Minimum education required of the position    

  • BS in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Public Administration or related field or equivalent work experience, MBA highly desirable.

 

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 8+ years in leadership roles, preferably in economic development, marketing, or customer service

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

  • None

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position

  • Certified Economic Developer or equivalent.
