Job Description
As an involved team member of Publicis Re:Sources for the Publicis Groupe US entities and as a team member of Publicis Groupe tax team reporting to Publicis Groupe Tax Director based in Paris, France.
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Tax Planning: management, anticipation, and optimization of the US effective tax rate
- Be a force of proposal for US tax planning and tax optimization, providing tax planning opportunities advice to the business units and corporate tax department.
- Involvement in Groupe and Company reorganizations, acquisitions, reduction of legal entities and disposals, tax aspects thereof
- Identify, quantify, and communicate tax-planning strategies for all entities, including researching and developing the most tax efficient action plan and/or ownership structure.
- Close liaison with Groupe tax function re international tax planning work and foreign aspects of US tax planning
- Internal counsel to the US entities
- Optimization of tax cash flow
- Involvement in tax aspects in relation to financing of the US Groupe, monitoring thin capitalization
- Management of transfer pricing issues within US as well as with entities in other countries
- Planning and developing new policies and procedures in response to changing corporate initiatives
- Monitoring NoLs (tax losses) and proposing actions so that no NoLs are lost to the Groupe
- Dividend planning
- Follow up of the new tax legislation and proposal for tax optimization or tax refunds
Tax Reporting/Tax Filing: for statutory and reporting accounts
- Supervision of tax reporting and tax filing
- Computation of tax accruals for monthly and annual financial reporting (actual, annual budget and forecast), ensuring correct tax reporting for both local financials as well as corporate reporting, working closely with the Chief Accounting Officer
- Responsibility for completion and submission of monthly and annual tax returns and reports.
- Responsible for indirect tax function
- Monitoring tax groups and filing of the consolidated tax return as well as calculating the group relief in forecasts and annual financial reporting
- Ensuring that all filing requirements are completed on a timely and accurate basis
- Following and justifying deferred taxes in the US entities
- Tax compliance – ensuring relevant documentation completed, procedures in place to ensure compliance with local regulations as well as Publicis Groupe policies
- Determining proper tax reserves in coordination Groupe Tax Director
Tax Audits
- Pro-active coordination of and participation in tax audits, liaison with Groupe Tax Director
- Coordinate and review the company’s responses to tax auditors’ information data requests and notice of proposed adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications
