Summary
The Maintenance Technician Lead maintains systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule preventative maintenance, building and machine repairs
- Maintain work orders and quality and delivery records
- Interface with departments to determine availability of machines and appropriate times for repairs
- Monitor and recommend repairs to plant's physical plant and equipment
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School graduate, or completion of GED required, as well as at least three (3) years of manufacturning experience
- General maintenance experience or other maintenance responsibilities that include ability to recognize electrical, plumbing and equipment malfunctions required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint schematics required
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems necessary
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
- Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time-management abilities
- Must also be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Training of other technicians considered a plus
- Some supervisory experience also considered a plus
- Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
- Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work
- Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner

Working Conditions
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
