About the role
Essential Functions:
- Conducts cycle count inventory reviews, test counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Performs cycle count activities to assure inventory accuracy; researches incorrect heat and work order numbers; makes bin to bin transactions; marks open bin locations for received work orders.
- Schedules categories for cycle count inventory and maintains accurate recordkeeping to confirm coverage.
- Maintains adequate storage for warehouse and on-site inventory.
- Generates record keeping transactions to update Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and moves stock around facility.
- Scraps inventory according to company standards.
- Train staff in product date labelling and create procedures to eliminate loss.
- Notify management of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability.
- Investigates accounting and inventory discrepancies – negative inventories, lot dates, receipt vs. packing slips, etc.
- Compiles weekly summary reports and reports to management.
- Conducts month-end reconciliations.
- Reviews intercompany transfers, sales orders, backorders, and stock reservations with the warehouse team to ensure timely deliveries and accuracy.
- Alerts Buyers of any inventory shortages or discrepancies.
- Oversees the reverse logistics return material authorization (RMA) process.
- Ensures timely inventory returns throughput; verifies product against sales, lot, and/or serial numbers.
- Ensures a timely daily flow of inventory returns processing and inventory transfer transactions to stock.
- Oversees and evaluates stocking procedures ensuring first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation.
- Maintains and evaluates inventory records on a continual basis ensuring access and data integrity.
- Creates and implements an efficient space utilization plan within the warehouse to maximize cube utilization. Stocks key inventories to maximize space and order fulfillment efficiency.
- Processes timely inventory transactions to support master planning and sales fulfillment strategies.
- Trains staff in reviewing product shelf-life controls and short dating and procedures to eliminate loss.
- Performs special projects as assigned by management to optimize inventory storage and fulfillment goals.
- Performs other related duties and projects as required by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in related field degrees preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of inventory experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
Pay Range: $21.00/hr-$23.00/hr
