This role demands a diverse skill set, encompassing expertise in various disciplines including drive unit design such as structures, rotating components, electrical systems, thermal management, controls, and high-voltage architecture. The chosen candidate will serve as the key liaison between different technical experts within subsystems. We seek individuals capable of showcasing exceptional critical thinking skills, employing a first-principles problem-solving approach, and exhibiting outstanding communication abilities.


The Role:
  • Central point of contact for technical stakeholders for a Drive Unit product and/or feature
  • Work with design teams, simulation/modelling, program management, manufacturing, etc.. to define and maintain
-Drive Unit technical specification - Drive Unit system level requirements
  • Contribute to cascading of requirements from Drive Unit to subsystems.
  • Develop Drive Unit DFMEA and DVP with relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive critical technical decisions with a large team of SMEs.


Qualifications:
  • Systems engineering experience
  • Deep understanding of physics and systems of electric vehicles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in technical and non-technical environments
  • Strong team player and positive mindset
  • Proactive, ownership mindset and strong work ethic
  • Willing to get your hands dirty.
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced work environment.
  • Hunger to learn.


Preferred:
  • Experience in automotive, motorsports, or aerospace environment
  • Experience in mechanical design (gears, castings, injection moldings, electromagnetic components)
  • Familiarity with electrical, thermal, and electromagnetic concepts related to motor and inverter design.
  • Proficient in 3D modelling software (CAD). Catia V5/V6 or 3DX preferred.
  • Proficient in MATLAB
  • Proficient in MBSE methods and tools
  • Team leadership skills


Education:
  •  BS plus two years or MS in an engineering discipline.
