As a Dispatch Officer at a higher education location, you will play a critical role in monitoring and coordinating security-related operations to help create a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include communicating with on-site teams, responding promptly to incidents, and maintaining detailed reports. By remaining alert and providing exceptional customer service, you will help to deter potential security-related incidents and deliver on Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and teamwork in a caring and professional setting.

- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage communications for security-related incidents across the education location, dispatching appropriate personnel as needed.
- Operate communication systems to receive and relay information between security-related teams and building occupants.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating emergency response activities as required.
- Document all incoming calls, incidents, and dispatch activities accurately and promptly.
- Provide customer service by assisting students, staff, and visitors with information and security-related needs.
- Coordinate with Allied Universal and location personnel to relay security-related updates and instructions.
- Maintain awareness of site-specific policies and procedures, applying them during daily operations and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
